Janet Georgiou a great mix of songs; thought-provoking and superbly crafted. Every word can be heard, and having it on repeat soon had me singing along. Linda has a beautiful vocal tone that is both distinctive and compelling to listen to. More, please!

Lay Me Down 01:41
I follow the ribbon laid out at my feet The water reflecting the sky The mirror where I hope that soon we will meet Lay me down You'll lay me down by the still waters 'neath the weight of this silence I lift up my eyes See the walls climb see the distant peaks rise Sun-blinded I fall to my knees and I cry Lay me down You'll lay me down by the still waters I found my way here 'neath the sky wide and pale Saw the gleam of your scars Winking gold on the trail Now I wait in this silence In shadows and shale Lay me down You'll lay me down by the still waters Lay me down You'll lay me down by the still waters

Thunder 03:17
Only took us a moment to choose Drawn from the cold night street to the warmth of you The sound of silence still on our lips Still high from the songs we'd sung weren't ready for this You were thunder Don't forget to breathe as the rumbling starts Caused the night to shake and the seas to part Caught in the fire and heat as the darkness fell Lost the power to speak, brought under your spell You were thunder One more street, we'd have passed you by Never known the heat and the power inside Take us back to that holy night Let the world hold still as your voices rise You were thunder Unfamiliar face where you were before Blood singing in our veins for a taste of more Drink it down to the dregs as the silence grows Better to have heard your song than to never have known You were thunder

Noise 03:15
Why do I do this to myself? I feel the storm pick up speed and I'm upside down Try to click my heels but I can't find a way out Why do I never seem to learn? Knocked right off my feet each time the hurricane comes Swallows up the light, blots out the sun In the spinning and the doubt The screaming of the wind drowns everything out I take another hit as the darkness turns Waiting for the world I knew to return I've been here before Spinning in the wind as the darkness roars I know this place Seen clouds gleam gold where the sky is torn I heard your voice Whisper through the noise And it brought me to the quiet In the eye of the storm Thunder may roll Violent and cold I hear you speak And the stillness comes Why do I do this to myself? I feel the storm pick up speed and I'm upside down Try to click my heels but I can't find a way out In the spinning and the doubt The screaming of the wind drowns everything out I take another hit as the darkness turns Waiting for the world I knew to return I've been here before Spinning in the wind as the darkness roars I know this place Seen clouds gleam gold where the sky is torn I heard your voice Whisper through the noise And it brought me to the quiet In the eye of the storm Thunder may roll Violent and cold I hear you speak And the stillness comes I've been here before Spinning in the wind as the darkness roars I know this place Seen clouds gleam gold where the sky is torn

All of my protests they fall on deaf ears Can’t see you changing stayed the same for years Still I try, try to get through to you You just won’t hear that you’re set in your ways You go through the motions too broken to change And you sigh if I suggest something new You don’t even know The heights you could reach if you’d just let go How long will it take For you to admit that there’s more than one way You say it’s just how it’s done Got hoops that we all have to jump Why can’t you see that these things take time? And you smile like it’s me who needs to learn I’m starting to see there’s no winning this fight If I try to move it just pulls the rope tight And I know that I won’t get through to you I wish you could see The heights you could reach and how things could be How long will it take For you to admit that there’s more than one way You say it’s just how it’s done Got hoops that we all have to jump Why can’t you see that these things take time? And you smile like it’s me who needs to learn I wish you could see The heights you could reach and how things could be How long will it take For you to admit that there’s more than one wayAll of my protests they fall on deaf ears Can’t see you changing stayed the same for years Still I try, try to get through to you You just won’t hear that you’re set in your ways You go through the motions too broken to change And you sigh if I suggest something new You don’t even know The heights you could reach if you’d just let go How long will it take For you to admit that there’s more than one way You say it’s just how it’s done Got hoops that we all have to jump Why can’t you see that these things take time? You've been here before but you stepped back Wanted to go on but it didn't track You think you know the way But they took the wheel Now you want it back, you want it back Got it in your head wanna get it out They're never gonna hear if you don't shout If you wanna have a voice start making some moves It's what it's all about, what it's all about Tell me what you're gonna do With the fire inside of you Been so long now, what's it gonna take To know that if you fall then you won't break If you fall then you won't break I'll see you on the other side Take a first step into the unknown You'll be just fine Are you gonna take a chance now It's never too late Make this your time 'cause nothing ventured, nothing gained Nothing ventured, nothing gained

Magpie 03:05
You had your time In the sun Flying so high, you caught their eyes Every single one You played your role The girl that you wanted to be You made them believe Let them see what they wanted to see You fed them dreams They swallowed them whole The bigger the lies The stronger their hold You started to believe The tall tales you told You started to forget All that glitters isn’t gold Magpie say goodbye To your thieving days Magpie ain’t no one got time For your lying ways When you laid down Alone in your bed Did it keep you awake Keeping them straight, the lies in your head Starting over again Would you change your ways Or is your mind just bent Towards the day you get out of this cage Magpie say goodbye To your thieving days Magpie ain’t no one got time For your lying ways And your mama says she knows that they raised you straight And your daddy, he don’t know when you lost your way And your friends, they’re left trying to separate The truth from lies, and while they try It’s gonna be some time till you fly again Magpie say goodbye To your thieving days Magpie ain’t no one got time For your lying ways

Hold your nerve and wait till the shadows pass Maybe you'll make it to the morning Every breath you take, It could be your last Today could be the day we see a dead man walking Who will you be, what will you do When the world you used to know is dying in front of you Will you make this your home or just make it each day Do you know the man you'll be when it's all stripped away Maybe it's not too late, and you don't have to run Find your people, build your nation Oh don't hesitate, oh as you pass those gates Today could be the day that we find salvation Who will you be, what will you do When the world you used to know is dying in front of you Will you make this your home or just make it each day Do you know the man you'll be when the world is stripped away Tell me who will you be, what will you do When the world you used to know is dying in front of you Will you make this your home, and what will be saved Do you know the man you'll be when the world is stripped away Hold your nerve and wait till the shadows pass Maybe you'll make it to the morning Every breath you take, It could be your last Today could be the day we see a dead man walking

Innocence 04:24
Started so innocently There's no way that you could know The power in your make believe And just how far this would go Somehow through your eyes They materialised and we could see You came at the right time We needed someone, needed to believe Stories took shape To the music of water on stone Caught up in the joy of the game So deep in its world, Thoughts came, ideas took hold Somehow through your eyes They materialised and we could see You came at the right time We needed someone, needed to believe We needed innocence We needed innocence We needed innocence We needed more You brought grown men to their knees In their need to see something beyond Cynics lay down at your feet For a moment to dream - be free from the dark and cold Somehow through your eyes They materialised and we could see You came at the right time We needed someone, needed to believe We needed innocence We needed innocence We needed innocence We needed more We needed innocence We needed innocence We needed innocence Like we had before How many times did you falter And swallow your words 'cause the stakes were too high Did you long to go back to the water Would you turn back the clock Would you take back the lie How many times did you wonder How things would change If the truth could be told Would you dare to go down to the water If you speak the words Will the magic grow cold Somehow through your eyes They materialised and we could see You came at the right time We needed someone, needed to believe We needed innocence We needed innocence We needed innocence We needed more

Been going full steam ahead, Moving so fast Been so fixed on the things in front of me Didn't see the things I've passed Want to remember That I can feel wonder If I just strip it back Been running on fumes so long Guess it would take Something like this To pull me up short Something to make me shake Now I remember That I can feel wonder If I just strip it back So I'll stay here, in this moment With you by my side No words need to be spoken I've nothing to hide We'll take this breath together Far away from the world outside And as we breathe you're all I see When I just strip it back I've fallen from greater heights Than this, it's true Every time I fall Brings me back to needing you And I remember That I can feel wonder If I just strip it back So I'll stay here, in this moment With you by my side No words need to be spoken I've nothing to hide We'll take this breath together Far away from the world outside And as we breathe you're all I see When I just strip it back

I hold your secrets in my hand Still after all these years I don't understand you A thousand words at my fingertips Still you slip away Every time I think I've found you You're running circles around me You've got me thinking why do I try When I'll never come close Get ahead of myself for a second You just leave me high and dry When I need you the most I tell myself we've come too far And I can't leave it hanging like this If I'd known at the start it would be so hard Would I still have jumped into this? I tell myself we've come too far And I can't leave it hanging like this If I'd known at the start That this flame in the dark Would lead me deeper like will o' the wisp Would I have followed Would I have followed I hold your secrets in my hand, But you never slow down And I never walk beside you A thousand times I fall and rise Thinking that just one more try And I will find you You're running circles around me You've got me thinking why do I try When I'll never come close Get ahead of myself for a second You just leave me high and dry When I need you the most I tell myself we've come too far And I can't leave it hanging like this If I'd known at the start it would be so hard Would I still have jumped into this? I tell myself we've come too far And I can't leave it hanging like this If I'd known at the start That this flame in the dark Would lead me deeper like will o' the wisp Would I have followed Would I have followed I hold your secrets in my hand Still after all these years I don't understand you A thousand words at my fingertips Still you slip away Every time I think I've found you I tell myself we've come too far And I can't leave it hanging like this If I'd known at the start That this flame in the dark Would lead me deeper like will o' the wisp Would I have followed

Pink 03:49
Why did I fix my eyes in front of me Thought everything was fine But now you’re all that I see See what you made me do And now you’re a shadow that haunts this room You hide in plain sight in front of me Wait till I cross the line Wait for the moment I see See what you made me do And now you’re a shadow that haunts this room Should’ve left it in the box Should’ve left well alone Now I’m pacing the floor Waiting for her to come home Eyes burn and the beat gets louder And now I’m living on borrowed time This could never be my home You make it too hard You bring silk and stone And I leave you scarred Each time I step away You take more ground I think you’re getting your kicks From just hanging around Hanging around You took your chance You took your time Behind my back Left me no place to hide While covering my tracks See what you made me do And now you’re a shadow that haunts this room Should’ve left it in the box Then nothing would’ve changed Now I’m pacing the floor But there’s no running away Light fades and the beat gets louder And why can’t I tear my eyes away This could never be my home You make it too hard You bring silk and stone And I leave you scarred Each time I step away You take more ground I think you’re getting your kicks From just hanging around Hanging around As the clock runs down You’re laid out at my feet like you need to be found Like you want to be seen You won’t fade, won’t hide Hang me out to dry Whispering what I’ve done Pointing to where I’ve been You come back with the dawn It’s like you feed on the light Each time I dare to hope The end’s in sight In the eye of the storm I get the feeling we’ve gone Too far this time This could never be my home You make it too hard You bring silk and stone And I leave you scarred Each time I step away You take more ground I think you’re getting your kicks From just hanging around This could never be my home You make it too hard You bring silk and stone And I leave you scarred Each time I step away You take more ground I think you’re getting your kicks From knowing I’ll be found I’ll be found We argued, should we fight or should we flee No way to turn back time, got in too deep to come clean See what you made me do And now you’re a shadow that haunts this room

Wolves 02:30
What did you do What did you do You let them walk right in What did you do What did you do You let them walk right in No need to blow your house down No need to blow your house down No need to blow your house down You let them in and now You’ve got wolves You’ve got wolves You’ve got wolves You’ve got wolves

Two Minutes 03:51
He caught her up in his arms It’s been such a long time Where've you been hiding? He couldn’t disguise The delight on his face Thinking of that moment She’d catch herself smiling And she told herself She’d make it right The next time they met How could she know This was a moment She’d always regret She took a cab, drove away She hoped that she’d feel good about it When tomorrow came Told herself next time she wouldn’t run She promised herself That next time she’d be brave She didn’t know till that night She wasn’t prepared Hey it’s all about timing She couldn’t deny That she wanted to stay But she didn’t have the conviction to own it And she told herself She’d tell it straight The next time they met how could she know It was a decision she’d always regret She took a cab, drove away She hoped that she’d feel good about it When tomorrow came Told herself next time she wouldn’t run She promised herself That next time she’d be brave But next time didn’t come Next time didn’t come Didn’t know I would see you tonight Be back in two minutes Then I won’t let you out of my sight But two minutes is all that it takes To jump in a taxi, to make a mistake But she told herself She’d make it right The next time they met how could she know It was a moment She’d always regret She took a cab, drove away She hoped that she’d feel good about it When tomorrow came Told herself next time she wouldn’t run She promised herself That next time she’d be brave She took a cab, drove away She hoped that she’d feel good about it When tomorrow came Told herself next time she wouldn’t run She promised herself That next time she’d be brave But next time didn’t come Next time didn’t come

Too little too late I can almost hear you say it And no matter how I play it I've been a fool Could you see your way Would you even contemplate Giving me a final chance To somehow prove Don't think I can be Me without you But why would you keep me in the running I pushed too hard Broke every rule Deep down I knew that this was coming Now the tables have turned And you're just out of reach You dance on your own Like you never knew me If you gave me the chance That I've never deserved Would I still swallow you whole Or has my lesson been learned I saw no reason to change Saw you laid out for the taking Said I'd never cause you pain But we both know the truth Don't think I can be Me without you But why would you keep me in the running I pushed too hard Broke every rule Deep down I knew that this was coming Now the tables have turned And you're just out of reach You dance on your own Like you never knew me If you gave me the chance That I've never deserved Would I still swallow you whole Or has my lesson been learned Now the tables have turned And you're just out of reach You dance on your own Like you never knew me If you gave me the chance That I've never deserved Would I still swallow you whole Or has my lesson been learned I broke your heart Broke the rules of the dance Stole the things you hold close And I called it romance I was deaf to your pleas And I was blind to the signs Thought I held all the cards Thought you'd always be mine Don't think I can be Me without you But why would you keep me in the running I pushed too hard Broke every rule Deep down I knew that this was coming

Wildfire 03:01
We'd taken some time, we laid low And the nights danced slow With the season's turning Made promises, laughed and we sighed As we shrank from the light Of a wildfire burning I can't hold you close Press my hand to the pane Cast adrift at the catch in your voice Count the hours Find some light in the dark With each day that we wait There is strength in the choice I'll say a prayer From the other side of the glass hold this frame till I see you again In the fight to bring peace to the flames I'll breathe through these moments And whisper your name We chose to smile in the dark So close but so far Learned to live with the aching Shared a joke, shared our fears Raised a glass Found courage in you And patience in waiting I can't hold you close Press my hand to the pane Cast adrift at the catch in your voice Count the hours Find some light in the dark With each day that we wait There is strength in the choice I'll say a prayer From the other side of the glass hold this frame till I see you again In the fight to bring peace to the flames I'll breathe through these moments And whisper your name And I'll say a prayer From the other side of the glass hold this frame till I see you again In the fight to bring peace to the flames I'll breathe through these moments And whisper your name We'd taken some time, we laid low And the nights danced slow With the season's turning Made promises, laughed and we sighed As we shrank from the light Of a wildfire burning I can't hold you close Press my hand to the pane Cast adrift at the catch in your voice Count the hours Find some light in the dark With each day that we wait There is strength in the choice I'll say a prayer From the other side of the glass hold this frame till I see you again In the fight to bring peace to the flames I'll breathe through these moments And whisper your name

Coming Home 02:49
I’ll pack up my bags and I’ll tear this place down Been away for so long but You knew I’d come round I hear your voice, hear The echoes of songs You’re music to my ear how’s it been so long I’m coming home to you Never doubt it my heart stayed true But we both had our times Our lows and our highs Needed something new When I step into your arms How will it feel Will I fall for your charm Will we find something real Can we steal new moments With each other again Did the distance make hearts grow fond Or will it spell the end I’m coming home to you Never doubt it my heart stayed true But we both had our times Our lows and our highs, needed something new I’m coming home to you Never doubt it my heart stayed true Just needed some time Something to call mine But it’s always been you I'll pack up my bags and I’ll tear this place down Been away for so long but You knew I’d come round

about

Linda moved to Paris in 2016 and shortly after teamed up with singer and producer Thomas Lacroix to perform as a duo in bars and open mics around the city. A prolific songwriter, Linda used her experiences and observations while in Paris to write over 30 songs, spanning from life as a nanny, to lockdowns, to the trials and tribulations of living in a different culture. She began working on recording and production with Thomas in 2021, and together they created a shimmering 16-track album, blending warm folk with dark electronica. Released in April 2022, the album launched at a sold-out homecoming concert in Brighton, UK.
